With the issues surrounding the roll out of the ObamaCare website, talk is turning back toward single payer,  national health care.  Those debates can get pretty heated, and misinformation runs rampant on both sides of the argument.  However, I am not going to discuss politics or the pros and cons of ObamaCare, The Affordable Care Act, or single payer, universal health care.  That is out of everyone’s control.  Besides, our system really isn’t about healthcare, it is about sickcare and in the United States, we do it better than anyone — that is both getting sick and treating the sickness.

What I would like to discuss is one of the major risk factors to our health, one major risk that we, ourselves, can actually control

The Human Side Of Obesity Management

 Does that recidivism make me less knowledgeable?  No. However, I am no longer possess the results that make me an example of the lifestyle I once and once again extol.  As my weight continues to drop and my fitness level continues to improve, I will start making the interview rounds again.  I will put myself out there as an example that the methods I choose are effective. Does that mean my way is the only way?  Of course not, but, what I do works best for me.

I have several reason for utilizing a low carbohydrate, close to nature approach to eating — primarily that it is easy, effective and, in my opinion, the most healthy.

There are a plethora of websites, blogs, and articles available on the internet, some good, others not so good.  However, we should be wary of those who tell us what is the most effective diet or exercise method, but hide in the shadows, never revealing themselves.

If the Church is the place for your spiritual well-being, then the gym can be your place for physical well-being.

In the gym, the sweat from your efforts are the cleansing waters of a baptism. The grunts and groans of effort are the hallelujahs of rejoicement.  And the clanging and banging of iron weights are the rhythmic chants of uplifting hymns.

There are those who claim you should not sweat, that sounds of effort should never escape your mouth and weights that are so heavy to elicit noise should not be hefted.

If you read my book, you will learn what I say to those who espouse moderation, it is my same answer to those who decry genuine effort. Instead of claiming the strain of others are a distraction;  feed off of their energy and strengthen your resolve from their struggle. You would also be surprised to discover, that those who put out hardcore effort, are often the first to help those who truly want to learn and improve themselves.
